An extra añejo no
one planned to
keep

In 2002, the family set aside a single
batch to rest longer than any before it —
a temporary edition, meant to pass.

What emerged from the casks was too
powerful, too elegant to let go. Imperial stayed.

Its name holds a double reference: to the
two empires that left their mark on
Mexico, and to the French art of dynamic
aging. Mexican origin, European influence
— married through patience.
